System Requirements
Suntan Special comes in several editions to support the following operating systems. You can use Suntan Special to bring each of the supported operating systems to the latest fix level. The following editions of Suntan Special are available.
Suntan Special supports the following versions of the operating system
- ArcaOS 5.0 and 5.1
- eCS versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2 media refresh, eCS 2.0 release candidates, eCS 2.0, eCS 2.1 and the eCS 2.2 betas
- IBM OS/2 Warp 4, Warp 4 Convenience Pack
- IBM Warp Server for e-business and Warp Server for e-business Convenience Pack (support was not tested in current version)
Installing all the applications that Suntan Special supports will consume about 5 Gb of disk space. Suntan Special also uses up to 2 Gb of temporary storage. You can specify the drive and directory to be used for temporary storage.
Suntan Special must be installed on a file system that supports long names, that is, names longer than 8.3 characters. The TEMP environment variable must be set to a directory on a file system that supports long names. Many of the apps require an apps directory that supports long names.
